The Atlantic, oh my gosh, the Atlantic has a piece in their new issue about mental illness and the care that's available and the care that's not available and what used to be available and how it changed and what a freaking tragedy it is and I'll tell you what my takeaway is and I used to be a card-carrying member of the

ACLU. Many years ago I supported that organization because I'm such a free speech

advocate and I believe minority opinions even those

that seem loathsome need to be protected. They, the ACLU is clearly a force

for evil in today's world. They are horrible. They are defeating any

compassionate effort to help profoundly mentally ill people. It's sickening. Anyway that's a different

topic, another different topic for a different day. But the Atlantic, I guess

last month or whatever it was, had a bit of a whimsical sounding article about does ice cream

keep diabetes away?

Is ice cream actually good for you?

And I thought, what the heck? Why don't I read this?
