| 0:29.0 | Welcome to the Dr. Berg's Healthy Kito and Interminute fasting podcast, where Dr. Berg takes you on the journey for the truth about getting healthy and losing healthy weight. Let's talk about the seven reasons for a chronic cough. Number one, a B-12 |
| 0:49.7 | deficiency. Now this is not as common, but if you're deficient in B12, it's going to affect the neurology throughout the body, but it could also affect the nerves to your vocal cords and create an irritation. |
| 1:02.0 | So, realize that a simple way to get B12 is by consuming red meat |
| 1:07.9 | and or liver that will give you enough B12 pretty quick. |
| 1:11.6 | All right, next one is something called the |
| 1:13.7 | Laryngeo-Fernial reflux, okay? |
| 1:17.1 | That is a situation where you're getting acid that's kind of coming up |
| 1:21.8 | through the valve in your stomach, should be closed, kind of comes up there |
| 1:26.5 | and it's going to irritate all the way up through the vocal cords. Now that could come from a |
| 1:31.8 | vitamin D deficiency, number one, or just low hydrochloric |
| 1:37.2 | acid in your stomach. |
| 1:38.8 | And both of these are very common. |
| 1:41.2 | If you're vitamin D deficient, and just realize that vitamin D does influence |
| 1:45.8 | Gastron which helps you release hydrochloric acid this can create this effect where the valve just doesn't close and you start getting this irritation and even the enzymes can even break down the protein in your esophagus and even your vocal cord. |
| 2:02.0 | So that can be more severe. Now if you're low |
| 2:05.6 | and high chloric acid in the stomach and you're not deficient about a m and d, but let's say the pH |
| 2:11.8 | which normally should be one to three is four five or six |
| 2:16.0 | you just don't have a strong acid in your stomach that could be enough to |
| 2:19.7 | prevent the valve on the top of the stomach from closing and that acid could come right up and irritate your throat, as well as the enzymes. |
