| 0:00.0 | In this video, we're breaking down the five most overlooked wide receivers in this year's NFL |
| 0:04.8 | draft. Not only are these guys going to be draft day steals, potential stars for fantasy football, |
| 0:09.6 | but they're actually quality to great prospects. They're just not getting the attention of the |
| 0:13.9 | top three receivers in this class. And let's start with Chris Bell, the 21-year-old wide |
| 0:18.5 | receiver out of Louisville. This guy is going to be more of a boomer bus wide receiver you can say, but there's a lot of things to like on his profile. First off, he's your big-bodied wide receiver, six foot two, 222, 22 pounds. He's still just 21 years old, like we said. He'll be a 22-year-old rookie. Now, he did not take part at the NFL Combine in March. That's going to be a concern on his profile, and the reason why is because |
| 0:41.7 | he tore his ACL in November, which is pretty unfortunate since he was having a great 2025 season |
| 0:46.6 | after a strong 2024 season. He underwent surgery this week was according to a tweet sent out |
| 0:52.3 | December 10th. So he's basically, you know, three to four |
| 0:56.2 | months now removed from this surgery. He should be based on a nine to 10 month recovery for a |
| 1:01.6 | younger player in today's modern medicine, should be back by training camp, ideally, definitely |
| 1:07.1 | by week one of the NFL season. And that's what all reports are pointing to right now. |
| 1:14.6 | This is a recent video of him at one of his physical therapy offices. It's just kind of funny. |
| 1:22.6 | He's just going to a random physical therapy wherever his health care sent him. He's in here with a bunch of old ladies, just random people in there. which is funny that this is what he's going with, |
| 1:24.9 | or where he has been sent, who knows. |
| 1:27.0 | But Chris Bell right now, by all accounts, |
| 1:28.9 | could be, not going to say definitely, |
| 1:50.0 | but could be a future number one X outside receiver in the league. Let's look at the production profile. We know the size is there. We didn't get speed at the combine, but if you watch his film and we'll break some of it down, he has the speed, if not borderline great. I wouldn't say elite, but great speed. 2024, he has his first breakout season. 737 yards, 15.7 yards per attempt. Everything's looking really good, but he never had like a monster, right? He was averaging 17 yards per reception, |
| 1:54.3 | only 43 catches. He starts to go absolutely nuclear in 2025 at Louisville. He spent all four |
| 1:59.9 | seasons here, and he goes 72 catches, 917 yards. His role changes. Instead of just being this downfield big body receiver with 17 yards per catch, he starts to get a lot more underneath work, which some people are saying a concern to his game. Is he Trey LaMbergs, just this big body guy who's working underneath and winning with physicality, but it's not really going to be able to do that at the NFL level. I don't think he's trail on Berks. I think we got to see more downfield usage and ability to go up and win contested catches like a true ex-receiver in the NFL on his tape in 2024 and at times in 2025. But he had a 27% target share. He was the guy in this Louisville offense dealing with not the greatest quarterback play, not the overall best surrounding class, and he was still solid. He is, by many accounts, going to be a top 10 wide receiver, probably somewhere around a top seven or eight wide receiver taken in this year's NFL draft. And if he didn't tear his ACL in November, have surgery in December, he might be a borderline top five pick in this draft of the |
| 2:50.9 | wide receiver position and maybe a slam dunk late first round, early second round pay. Now, the interesting part about his production is that in 2025, when he actually started facing some tougher competition when Louisville had a little bit of a tougher schedule, he starts dominating. This three game stretch right here from Pittsburgh, Virginia, a ranked team in number two Miami at the time was unbelievable. If you're going to watch this film, make sure you watch a lot of it, but you want to watch them against good competition. Pittsburgh, a quality Pittsburgh team, 10 catches 135 yards. Everybody knows he's getting the ball when he comes into this matchup now against Virginia. 12 catches 170 yards and two touchdowns. Okay, this guy's just gone off in back-to-back weeks. |
| 3:25.0 | Three total touchdowns. During that time, in two weeks, he's topped over 300 total yards, 22 catches. Surely one of the best defenses in the country in Miami, number two ranked at the time, is going to be able to stop him in game plan. Not the case. Nine catches, 136 yards, two touchdowns in this game. he had a long reception of 25 plus yards in each of these contests. |
| 3:42.7 | He was just fantastic. |
