And today we're going to be discussing people pleasing. And a few weeks back, I was on a call with someone,

and I was asking them a question about what their type of people pleasing was, because there were

many different types. So that got me thinking about eventually doing an episode about people

pleasing as a whole. And just to state right off the bat,

not every person entering a relationship that turns into abuse starts off as a people

pleaser. And sometimes when you are in the abuse, you're trying to survive as best you can.

And a trauma response would be considered fawning when you are in this

survival mode, which is people pleasing. So when people are talking about abuse in trauma,

they will say, are you fighting? Are you in flight? Is there a freeze? And the fourth one would be
