Is there something that you are healing or you would wish to heal?

When I interviewed the incredible gabble, Marte, Dr gabble mate on the podcast definitely check out that

interview if you haven't already it's one of our most popular I was struck by

what he calls the four a's of healing.

And I wanted to break them down here today

because they're beautiful, they're useful,

they're concise, and they might just be what you need, whether you realize it or not in this moment.

The fast A is authenticity.

Specifically, is authenticity,

specifically noticing when it's not there.

So I think we've all had those conversations

when we've gone along with something even though we don't

necessarily agree. Or we say yes when we mean no. Or we allow a boundary violation just

because it feels easier or less confrontational.

When we are not being authentic, we stuff down our real selves and nothing can come to light nothing can heal. Being real, being you,

saying what you mean, living your life in a way that's true to you is the first step in healing. We can't heal if we're dealing with something that is fake.

When we're really us, when we're tapping into the real us, authenticity, that is the only place to start. The second A is agency. Now Dr. Gabonarte is very famous for saying

that trauma really limits our responsibility. So how we are able to

respond to a situation yes a clever play on words, but it's really powerful, think about it.

When we have a trauma response to something, we actually limit, our responses are so limited because we're afraid.
