I'm here to help you win at work. You're getting better, your paycheck will get

bigger and it's going to affect the rest of your life obviously. So let's dive into this and let me just

set the context why we would be talking about the qualities of a good leader and

this is about as practical and tactical of content as as I've ever shared on leadership today,

borrowing a model from our leadership division here at Ramsey Solutions

called Entre Leadership. I'm a contributor to that division and for years

hosted the Entree Leadership Podcast. And so let me explain why we talk about this.

So if you buy into this notion that I need to work harder on myself than I do my job, in other

words, if I'm getting better, I'm taking a better version of me to work, and when I take a better version of me to work,

I am better at work, and when I'm better at work, I get promoted,

and when I get promoted promoted I get more money. I mean everybody likes that it's a very

simple progression we get that. But in that same journey I just pointed out as you keep getting promoted it's just the way the world works I don't like it

But the way it works now and the way it's worked for a long time in the American workplace is,

after about two or three promotions, somewhere in that range, you are promoted into a management or leadership role.

And many times you were not properly trained, developed, poured into, and so all of a sudden this thing, this influence, this

position that is a, is coming along with a nicer paycheck, it becomes this thing that sucks the life out of you and maybe you resent and it traps you.

And this isn't always just a trap on the back end of this deal.
