0:22.6

I'm your host, Jeff Gluck, and today it is a Rolex 24 version of the podcast, actually today and tomorrow,

0:28.8

because here we are. I'm on the grid at the Rolex 24. Never been here before, never done much sports car racing,

0:34.7

actually, so I don't even really know what to expect but uh i'm

0:38.0

going to give you some observations record one minute of this podcast every hour hopefully it'll be the

0:43.5

24 minutes of daytona by the time we're all done trying to stay up all night i got three five-hour

0:48.2

energies i got some ice coffee already jacked up on some caffeine driver intro is ongoing now, so we'll give you some observations

0:56.1

as this goes along, huge crowd, and let's get started. Okay, so hour one wrapped up, and I watched

1:05.7

the start with my friend Holly Kane from the NASCAR wire service. Holly, you've done the upper end of 20-something

Indycar fans that want to come and see their favorite drivers. You have, you know, Rubens Barakello

1:38.8

and Fernando Alonzo in to make all the F1 fans happy. And certainly there's always NASCAR guys in it as well. So it's really

1:44.8

kind of this wonderful collection of sports car purist and then perhaps people that like other

1:49.1

forms of racing but are excited to see their drivers. Yeah, it's really unbelievable how close you can

1:53.6

get to the cars themselves, whether they're on the track or before the race on the grid. I mean,

1:59.1

the grid is crazy. It's really, I mean,

2:02.0

it's a very fan-friendly experience, it feels like. It is. And I'm glad you got to go out there on

2:06.3

the grid before the race because you can't even hardly move. And it's a wonderful chance because
