Today is Sunday, the 27th of August, beginning the 21st week of ordinary time.

All to the sound sings how great thou art.

As you begin your time of prayer today, turn your eyes towards Jesus and become aware in turn of his gaze of love upon you.

When Christ shall come, wish out of an explanation,

and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart, then I shall bow in humble adoration,

and then proclaim my God how great thou art.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God.

How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways?

For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counsellor, or who has given a gift to him to receive a gift in return?

For from him and through him and to him are all things, to him be the glory forever, amen.

Paul ends this chapter in Romans by referencing the great Psalm 139, for who has known the mind of the Lord?
