Hello, welcome back to Football 301. I'm your host, Nate Tice. Very fun show for you guys today. It's a look ahead to the 2027 draft. Didn't we just get done with draft season? Yeah, but I'm a sicko. And I just like looking ahead. And, you know, it opens up my summers. And what's great, not only looking at the 2027 draft, looking at the

quarterbacks, and I have a fellow sicko that does the exact same thing I do, deep

dives into the current draft class, and then does a look ahead. And this guy was also

some of those, another member. I would actually even say he beat me to it on the Mendoza train,

the Fernando Mendoza train. But without further,

more introduction needed. We'll get more into it. We'll talk about Mendoza and take a little victory lap together. But this is Corey Kinnon from Dafft on draft. He does so much good work on the draft and just on football overall. I'm so happy that you join me, Corey. Thanks for joining me. Yeah, no problem.

A little home-and-home action here.

I had you on my podcast last year, and then, and now I'm over here this year. So, yeah, I love it. I know. I felt like you had me last year because I think you, I was kind of aware of you. I think we had a ton of mutual friends. I was looking ahead and I was like, hey this Mendoza guy's got something got something to him. And then when I, I think I wrote an article, I did a too early big board. You were like, yes, me too. Hey, you know, so we started talking from there, started talking about class. We talked about Arch Manning, which we'll talk about more today. But maybe just even talk about your process into Fernando Mendoza and kind of your deep dive on quarterbacks because I think since then you and I have really talked about some of these

guys we're going to talk about today. So it's pretty fun to maybe just do that in more of a public

forum. Yeah. So for me, you know, the Mendoza thing came off of the 2025 class where I just

like wasn't in love with any of the quarterbacks,

to be honest with you. I was lower than consensus on Cam Ward leaving the draft process

than a lot of people were. And so Mendoza was actually the first quarterback that I charted.
