Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, inside the Senate map. Number two, Eric Holder is set to huddle with House Democrats on redistricting.

1:09.5	Let's get into the top story of the morning. We have only AM
1:13.8	additions this week as both the House and Senate are out on August recess. President Donald
1:19.4	Trump is in Washington to start the week. He is scheduled to head to Alaska to meet with
1:25.1	Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday for a summit over the war in
1:28.6	Ukraine. Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky may also attend as well. Another big thing for those of us
1:35.4	in D.C. Trump will also make an announcement today about new federal efforts to fight crime in the
1:41.8	district. Speaker Mike Johnson is in Jacksonville, Wyoming, with a group of
1:46.7	House Republicans set for his annual big donor retreat. We reported on some of those speakers last
1:53.7	week. All right, let's get into the Senate 26. Senate Republicans will be defending their majority
2:00.2	next year and relentless pushed by Democrats over Trump's one big, beautiful bill.
2:08.0	We are 15 months out from the midterms and Republicans remain the heavy favorites to retain control of the chamber, thanks to a good map, despite some pretty high-profile setbacks.
2:19.5	Senate Democrats still need to net four seats to reclaim the majority, a huge hurdle.
