All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of the tear down my name is jeff gluck

along with jordan bianke and it is season preview time finally jordan um you guys have been

very patient uh we really appreciate your interest in hearing a season preview.

Sometimes these can be a little bit dry, but for some reason, this is an episode every year that you guys are interested in hearing our thoughts about as we walk through team by team to break down the 2026 Cup Series field.

And Jordan, of course, there will be quite an interesting wrinkle this year because we're looking at it now through a different perspective.

We won't be looking at these through.

Can somebody do a win and in?

You know, oh, can somebody win a Super Speedway race or a road course race?

And when they're into the playoffs, no, our playoff picks and our field are going to be the top 16 in points.

So it's really the best of the best.

And that's how we're going to be evaluating this as we go through it.

And when you look at this and you break down the 16 drivers you think are going to make the playoffs,

I don't want to say it's easy to pick the 16 drivers, but 13 immediately come to mine,

and there is at least one, if not two others that I feel like you could maybe make a very,

very, very good case for being locks.

So from my perspective, you're thinking 14, 15 guys, no problem.

But as we know, that isn't always the case.

Historically, even in the elimination era, there was always one or two guys, big names,

that failed to make the playoffs for some reason.

You know, whether it was Joey Lugano or Kevin Harwick, I'm sorry, Jimmy Johnson.

And so this is going to be interesting where there could be somebody's wheels just completely
