Welcome back to another Adam Schaefter podcast, as we now are two weeks away from the NFL draft in Kansas City counting down the days.

0:20.7

And to help us get ready for the upcoming NFL draft in Kansas City counting down the days. And to help us get ready for the upcoming NFL

0:23.4

draft in Kansas City, we will be joined today by ESPN draft analysts Matt Miller and Jordan

0:31.3

Reed as we discuss the quarterbacks in the upcoming draft, the big decision that the Houston

0:37.2

Texans could have at number

0:39.5

two, some other quarterback sleepers as well as the top quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL draft,

0:47.5

which is shaping up as a great quarterback draft class. But as we talk about quarterbacks with Matt Miller and Jordan Reed,

0:55.8

quarterbacks also are the conversation today. And we start with none other than Aaron Rogers.

1:03.1

And we are now two weeks away from the draft. And there has been, by my estimate, little if any,

1:14.2

contact between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets.

1:53.4

stances about what Aaron Rogers is and isn't worth. And so this standoff that has been going on for weeks now looks like it's going to go on

2:03.9

for a little while longer. We just don't know whether it will get wrapped up by or during the draft.

2:09.9

It doesn't sound that way right now, but that could just be tough talk from both sides.

2:14.6

And one conversation could change that. But it'll be interesting if the draft

2:18.8

comes and goes, and Aaron Rogers is still in Green Bay, and the Packers then have their mandatory

2:24.2

minicamp coming up, and Aaron Rogers would be under contract to the Packers. Does he show up? Do

2:29.3

they risk the injury? What if he gets hurt? What if it's a serious injury? Then they have to count the $60 million

2:34.9

against their cap. Packers don't want that. They want the picks. The Jets want their quarterback.
