Absolutely Greg, it's become our annual holiday tradition to have Andy come by.

He works for jam productions. He is a ace concert booker based here with one of the great

remaining independent promotion companies nationwide really. But his first love,

he's true passion. He's finding lesser known Christmas music to share with friends every year.

He makes a mixtape of these freshly unearthed fines annually and we are always lucky to have him

share his latest discoveries with us. Andy, welcome back to Sound Opinions.

Thanks for having me back guys. I never take it for granted and I would just like to

clarify one thing. I wish I only collected Christmas music because I have a lot more spare

change in my pockets. Unfortunately, I buy just about everything I look at that's interesting or

unusual. You're a music lover for sure. That's true. And the one thing, we talk about Karen

consideration. Every year, I think part of it is just the brainstorming, okay, what's the concept,

what's the key to every year? Because it's never kind of a, oh, he's just sort of repeating what he

did in past years or whatever. There's always some kind of bigger plan at play here.

How do you devise that? That's the only way to start the process because every year I go,

I don't think I could do this again. You have been saying that now for about a decade.

This is the 34th year. I took stock of what I had and I found some choice new records which

get harder and harder to find. This year is all 45s and they all fit directly into that obscure

concept in my mind. Everything from really strange stuff to just amazing straight-ahead jazz.
