Hello everyone and welcome to Part 7 of the NBP Film Awards. This week we are doing Best Documentary, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Director of 2016. Joining me this week, I have Mike Vermet.

How's it going, guys? And we also have Kristen Lopez. I didn't have to see 50 shades darker this weekend. Yay, me. You are so, so lucky. I'm lucky, too. I didn't have to see it this week of myself, which I was very, very proud of. Mike Vermet, are you seeing that movie anytime soon? You fuck, no.

Well, this week we do have quite a bit to discuss here in terms of these five categories.

Sadly, Michael Schwartz and Will Mavity could not be here to discuss their picks with us.

However, we're going to start off with Best Documentary Feature Film.

We're going to do a runner-up and a winner here.

So I'm going to read off Michael's picks first.

His runner-up for documentary of the year is Wiener, and his winner is OJ Made in America.

For Will Mavity, his runner-up is 13th, and his winner is Gleason.

Now let's pass it off first to Kristen Lopez.

What is your runner-up and what is your winner for Best Documentary of 2016?

I do want to throw out that this was a very hard category for me because I saw a lot of really

good docs.

And I didn't put 13th or OJ because I knew that somebody would talk about that.

And I wanted to kind of spread the love a little bit.

So my runner up, I will say an honorable mention was Amy Berg's an open secret, but that didn't go wide enough.

It just went to YouTube because she couldn't get distribution for it for obvious reasons.
