And the first verse tells us, Ephesians, 6, and 1,

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Verse two, honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise,

that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.

Is this New Testament?

It's also Old Testament.

It's both.

And it is the living word of God.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but this won't.

This is true and it's right, and it works.

Forever.

There are two things mentioned here,

obeying and honoring.

The obeying only applies as long as your children.

He didn't tell you that you had to obey your mother and father your entire life.
