At the start of the year, we thought, or I thought, that I would give you a kind of prompt in a way about sewing.

And some of you may think, oh, she's talked about sewing over the last 215 episodes or whatever

it is that we're at now.

Gosh, we've been at this quite a long time now, week by week, but I still love it.

And I think at the beginning of the year,

it's really important to kind of take stock of what one wants from one's garden and from one's

life. And I can genuinely say that there is nothing as the new year starts gives me more

pleasure than sowing seeds. And it's just that whole thing

of walking out with tiny packets of seed in your coat pocket. And with me, I walk down to the

Polly Tunnel where we have a lovely cat called Polly. Ha ha, surprise, surprise. And she adopted us.

She's a stray. And we do actually feed her now. We didn't for ages

and she stayed. But we do because she is brilliant at keeping on top of the mice. And she's

become tamer and tamer. Anyway, this podcast is not about Polly, Polly the Polly Tunnel cat. But she's

one of the joys. I walk in there and there she is and we have a chat and she comes

all around my legs and wants company. And then I start sowing seed and it's just that thing that

these little lumps of what look like dirt, then within a week or two suddenly go green and then
