So last week I talked about my absolute 12 favorite ornamental flowery plants that you might want to sew from the beginning of January till the end of March and giving you the list of which ones to do when.

So before I sort of start on which are my top recommendations, it's just why bother, I guess? Well, I really find in our increasingly troubled world,

the thing of being able to walk out, and I know and I fully admit that I'm extremely lucky,

I live on a farm, I've got plenty of space, and I've got enough time and also people to help me

to grow the stuff. So it's all very well for me and I do know that. But genuinely, wherever I

lived, and I'm not always going to live here probably,

if I lived in a high rise on the 50th floor, I would still want to grow some of my own food,

and flowers, because the thing of walking out or just stepping out onto a balcony and harvesting

So it's not one minute wonder in that once I've picked it, it's not there.
