Summary

Why is political violence on the rise in America? Look no further than the manifesto written by the man who attempted to shoot up the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night. In today's podcast, Frank unpacks the serious consequences of a society influenced by critical theory, and offers insights on how teaching truth and logic rooted in Scripture can help address these issues. You'll also hear Frank's speech from the TPUSA Faith Pastor's Summit last week, where he offers a practical solution to this problem.

Tune is as he answers questions like:

  • What does recent survey data say about liberal vs. conservative views on political violence?
  • What is the worldview that justifies political violence in very liberal people?
  • Why do ideas have consequences?
  • Why does critical theory promote perpetual conflict, not peace?
  • Why is there so much evil in the world and what's the biblical solution?
  • What is the culture's solution to evil and what makes it so dangerous?
  • Why should we avoid "soft-serve" pastors and churches?
  • What are the four I's--the most controversial and consequential issues the church faces today?

Ladies and gentlemen, what is driving political violence?

0:13.0

Particularly from the left.

0:17.0

Why do I say the left?

0:18.0

Is there no political violence on the right?

0:20.0

Well, let's look at the data, ladies and gentlemen, because today we're going to unveil something that might not be obvious, but is really driving much of the political violence and political polarization that we're seeing in our country.

0:40.5

Just Saturday night, as you know, there was another assassination attempt on not just President

0:45.5

Trump or probably some of his officials, according to the manifesto of the would-be assassin.

0:52.8

And my friend Erica Kirk was there, as you know,

0:56.8

traumatized again by political violence.

1:01.7

You saw the video, her leaving just, I just want to go home.

1:05.4

Don't we all just want to go home to when Americans didn't think political violence was the way to solve our problems here in the 21st century.

1:16.5

Because some data has come out. In fact, this data was brought to bear right after Charlie was murdered.

1:23.9

There were several thousand people surveyed. And'll put the data the survey in the show notes

1:32.4

25% of very liberal people in this survey this past September said political violence is

1:41.8

sometimes justified only 4% of very conservative people said that political

1:49.1

violence is sometimes justified. And if you dig a little deeper into the data, while 25% of

1:58.4

very liberal people said that political violence is sometimes justified, only 55% of very

2:05.4

liberal people said it's never justified. Well, you say, what about the other 20%? Where did they come from?

2:11.6

Well, 14% of very liberal people didn't know if it was justified, And 6% said they, they're not going to answer the

2:18.6

question. They wouldn't say. So only 55% of very liberal people say political violence is never

2:25.1

justified. Only 55%. The other 45% either say it is or they don't know or won't say.
