No matter what you do in life, you'll always benefit from having a plan, and this is true for fantasy football.

Having a strategy for your draft is key, and I've drafted over 100 teams so far this summer.

And this is the number one strategy I'm using to win my leagues in 2023, and you should too.

In rounds one and two, lean value over upside. You want to seek out reliability.

Now, to start your draft, it'll depend if you have one of those first seven or eight picks or not.

If you have one of those first seven or eight picks, normally you'll get a Stefan Diggs, a Cooper Cup to fall to you.

Or your first or second, just take a Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase.

One of the wide receivers, those guys are looking like studs early on. However, if you're towards the middle to back end of the first round and those players

are no longer there, you can target either a running back or receiver and that would be either

C.D. Lamb or Sequin Barkley, who are typically there every single time.

Now, in my most recent draft utilizing this same number one draft strategy on Underdog,

I ended up with CD Lam with the 10th overall pick in the first round. Look, Lam's a great option because he's just year in and year out since he entered the NFL. He's

been productive. He can earn targets 111, 120, then 156 last year. And he's reliable. He hasn't

missed a game in his NFL career for injury. And Lamb is extremely efficient last year ranking

top 10 in his ability to earn targets per route run.

And normally the more experience you have in the league this continues to build.

It's built in three straight years.

He's improved this and now he heads into year four.

And the other thing is the competition just isn't there.

Dalton Schultz is now gone and so is Ezekielia, which opens up red zone opportunities for lamb and this is the one big piece to the puzzle for

lamb to potentially be a top three overall receiver and fantasy if he can start to get more red zone

targets he was just 18th in this metric last year but big red zone threats like we said
