Hello and welcome back to the WTF1 podcast. We are here that time when edition to talk about when

0:07.9

Sebastian Vettel won nine consecutive races at the end of the 2013 season. Now it's not just me talking

0:15.6

to myself. I've got too much more knowledgeable people in this conversation. One of which, the WTF1

0:23.6

founder Tom Bellingham. I didn't actually say that you were the WTF1 founder last time, Tommy,

0:29.0

and that was the top comment in our podcast. So there you go. You confused a lot. You confused a lot

0:34.5

of people. And Katie Ferman, who has also been founded, did by Tommy. You are technically the

0:42.1

wrong family. I am his child. Yeah, we are children of Tommy. Katie is obviously the WTF1 editor.

0:48.3

And welcome guys. We're going to talk about a dominant era of Formula One Red Bull smash in it.

0:55.3

And let's start with the 2013 season of course. What was F1 like back then? Should we cast

1:01.1

1:19.8

the V8s, which people still miss a lot, I guess. And 2013 was Vettel's last World Championship

1:29.2

spoiler. And yeah, he was, he'd just recently become the youngest ever three time World Champion.

1:36.4

And it's one of those, one of those eras where I feel like it gets a bit of a bad rep for dominance,

1:42.8

but we had some amazing races. And at the end of the day, two of these, two of the three

1:49.5

titles before going into the season had gone down to the wire and been truly epic. So I think

1:56.0

it's a lot closer than people think this year, even it was dominated. Yeah, we all watched the 2013

2:03.0

season as it unfolded. And as a fan, then I mean, pretty much like fans now. It was quite frustrating

2:10.0

seeing the same person win every, what felt like every single race. But looking back actually,

2:16.7

it was a really good season. And one that I feel is kind of underappreciated a bit,

2:22.8

despite the fact that Serb just took the win with everything, every single race in the end of the season.
