I'm back!

It's been a minute.

I have a valid excuse though.

I wasn't in the country and I didn't take my recording equipment with me as I told

you I was likely not to do.

But here I am, back amongst the west, at my desk looking at my mountains and the wonderful

city of Los Angeles.

Feels good to be home.

But a crawler's dope, Ghana is amazing.

When people ask me what is Ghana like, I give them two answers.

One Haiti, Ghana and Haiti might as well be the same place.

Some vibe, same energy, Ghana's a little more industrialized, but more or less same dirt.

Haiti up in the mountains has that orange dirt too that Ghana has everywhere.

Same people.

The market women in Haiti, the market women in Ghana, all carry items on their heads.

They have this same build, same cheekbone structure.

It's the same place.

I want to say, oh it's weird because they're so far apart.

But if you pick up masses of people from Ghana and then you transport them across the

Atlantic, their origin story doesn't change.
