I go into Walmart on Saturday morning, I don't know, it's like 9 o'clock in the morning,

8 o'clock, I've got to grab a couple of things and I'm out running around weird, I know.

And I walk in and it's like the lights are low and it's quiet and there's no, there's

just it's weird looking, it's almost like the store is not open and I'm like, are you

guys open? Oh yes, it's our quiet time. We do this on Saturday mornings. I didn't know

that. So I mean, obviously I have to look it up. Well, it started where during the hours

between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturdays, stores nationwide, replaced moving pictures on

screens with static images and a number of locations turn off the music and lower the overhead

lights to create an environment more friendly to those with autism and other disabilities.

It's a sensory friendly store hours. So they wanted to get ready for parents to get

back to school. It started, they rolled out mid July and apparently it's going to end at

the end of this month in August. Well, I guess they should just keep it going. If you want

to be sensory friendly, then just do it every Saturday and make it part of your deal.

I know it's part of your more inclusive neurodivergent customers. Okay. I know I want to

make fun of it, but I can't because I get it. Okay. So you know on all the lights and

the music and the machines going, you know, you want you want to quiet time down just

a little bit. So I guess Target has been doing this. They have their sensory friendly hours

during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They just do it. This is our day. Saturday make

a big deal out of it. If you need to, if it throws you off and you need help, then you

come in and shop with us Saturday mornings from 8 to 10 or we open at 7 and we're part

of that deal. That's when we do it. Now in Canada, I guess stores are doing it as well

for their daily sensory friendly hours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Now that seems kind of silly.
