In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully

inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's word and that

heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life.

Well, if you listen often enough, you know every month we have our friend Than Bennett on the show

for what we call a faith perspective from the Hill.

Than serves as Director of Government Affairs for the ACLJ, and this is my kind of caveat every

time Than comes on.

I like to say at the outset of these conversations that my show, as you know, focuses mainly on deeper life faith issues.

And I rarely venture into the world of politics because we have other shows that do that.

But I don't want to pretend for a moment that the issues of our day aren't impacting our faith because they are.

I don't trust anyone personally that I know personally as well as I know, Than, to talk to and speak to

the issues of our day. He's got a humble, godly, biblical, informed perspective. That said,

I also know that we've got Republicans, Democrats, libertarians who listen to the show. And what

I'm asking for from all of us is grace and humility and civility as we venture into these topics.

We know there are hot-button issues.

We're not, you know, if you'll know, Thane, that he's not a ranter.

I've been talked down from the ledge a few times when I get passionate about something,

but he's kind of like my hobby as far as they're both these steady eddy men of perspective.
