Summary

Host Ian Hartitz breaks down Texans-Lions and Football Team-Cowboys before going through injuries to watch ahead of Sunday. Deshaun Watson and Will Fuller lit up the scorebard on Thursday, but we also shouldn't count out Brandin Cooks and Duke Johnson staying hot in Week 13 and beyond. Things were less smooth for the Lions; just realize Matthew Stafford continues to show off some of the best arm talent in the league on a weekly basis. It was Antonio Gibson szn Thursday afternoon, but give credit to Amari Cooper for also having a big day at Jerry World. Ian finishes the show with injury analysis on the likes of John Brown, Lamar Jackson, Chris Carson, Sam Darnold, Austin Ekeler, Myles Gaskin, Jerry Jeudy and much more.

Hello and welcome to PFF Fancy football podcast. I'm your host Ian Hartson. Today we're going to go through the two Thanksgiving games of Texans win over the line as well as the football teams went over the

cobwebs also want to touch on a bunch of injury news to get you all set up ahead of week 12 Sunday. Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I did enjoy both the games. This is a shame couldn't get Raven's theaters on there, but I am old enough to remember back when we did only have two games and when that, you know, post Thanksgiving meal kind of sleepy mood came on around around you know 8 p.m.

was another worst thing the world would be able to sit on the couch and not have to worry about some more football. Okay, who we can now I would prefer to have three games, but it is what it is we're done with them. We go over those two games and get some good injury news. So thank you as always for tuning in to the PFF fantasy football podcast without further ado. Let's get out there. So with this Texans win they, you know, one by 16 41 to 25 and yeah, this wasn't really a deceiving final score. I thought they were really just to kind of have their way with this lines defense throughout the game. They're up 23.

1:19.0

14 1 1 2. And honestly like Jordan, Akin's how to pair of passes in the end zone that probably could have ended two drives and scores. And he just wasn't really yeah, I mean, it was a game where the shaman Watson again really was just able to do it every one for most of the game. I mean, the throw for 318 yards and four touchdowns with no picks on only 25 attempts was absolutely wild. It's it's been more the same though.

1:39.0

The shaman Watson without the Andre Hawkins this year, rather inexplicably has just been the best quarterback that we've seen of his career. So, you know, Watson, obviously the Texans will be better off having the Andre Hawkins and not having John, and the Hawkins and the offense. But I think we have seen him be more willing to spread the ball around get everyone involved. And because of that, you know, go ahead and make just some constantly really good decisions because in this game, you know, we'll fuller had team high seven targets, Brandon cooks with their five. Nobody else had over five with them. So only 25.

2:08.0

So only 25 pass attempts. We've seen Watson be willing to kind of focus more on one guy. But in this 2020 version of Texans offense, it's well fuller, Brandon cooks and then everybody else, particularly while Randall Cobb remains sideline. So good stuff from all those guys and it was well fuller.

2:23.0

And when the power and the biggest game of the group six catches 171 yards pair of scores. He had the week two, you say against the Ravens where he was in and out a little bit with a hamstring injury. And he had a five catch 38 yard performance against the Browns and they were more or less playing in a monsoon.

2:38.0

And that all will fuller has done all season is behold out people. He has scored in every single one of those other games except for 112, we are performance in week one and last week when he had six catches for 80 yards. So truly will fuller every week, wider, see where one as we like to say at pf.

2:54.0

Every week is well fuller week, looking at the rest of these guys Brandon cooks five catches caught all five of his targets for 85 score this yards cooks prior to this game. It's not going to slip too much. This was a solid performance. But prior to this game since Bill Brian was fired after week four.

3:09.0

Brandon cooks was a peeper or wider seaver 12 will follow the wider seaver 17. So you know after seeing fuller go off like this, you could easily kind of jump cooks in that pecking order. But hey, the shop wants to one of the best quarterbacks in the league, make sense. I can enable more than one fancy relevant wider seaver.

3:24.0

Didn't see a ton from a key key to hear had a DFS kind of pre game show I did on the pf f handle Thursday morning and just mentioned with mentioned with a key key. He had those big games in 2018 just realize those are as the offense is number two pass game option usually will fall around only working behind the Andre Hopkins.

3:42.0

And as long as fuller and cooks are healthy, expecting to continue to be the top two guys in this passing game mentioned before Jordan, Akins had two targets was able to come down with either one one of them was really egregious hit him in the hands, the other one, the linebacker, I guess was kind of in the way, but either way, we did not see Darren, fellas, the target, which was good because if the shop wants to could ever just have one good consistent tight end.

4:04.0

I think that guy would be scoring double digit touchdowns on a yearly basis. So Jordan, Akins, you know, someone that, hey, if we continue to see fells, just not utilize that all in the passing game, maybe Akins could end up being and you know more consistent upside to once the season goes on, but going to be tough to expect, you know, to consistent production from as long as Darren, fellas, continues to split a lot of the snaps.

4:23.0

With this Texans backfield Duke Johnson season everybody kind of, you know, he went out there still played, you know, the lead RB role, but we did see CJ pro size, I get a little bit more action than usual. So, you know, at the end of the day, Duke was out there for 75% of the offensive snaps that barely off of the 77% mark, we saw last week, that's legit, RB one usage, everybody and we will take that eight days of the week and the having nine carries.

4:49.0

The C9 carries 37 yards CJ pro size has five carries 12 yards. So again, even if Duke didn't have just, you know, any electric runs we saw him, you know, running over a linebacker, I was way to get in eight yards, picking up a couple, you know, third and short conversions, like, you know, had a couple big blitz pickups throughout the game. I just don't know how you can watch Duke Johnson and you know, just say that this guy can't do everything and over running back and do.

5:10.0

I admit, you know, me freaking out about him for the last 12 months on Twitter, even throughout March and stuff, you know, we haven't seen those sort of blow performances to really weren't all there, you know, kind of just entertainment speculation. I've given towards Duke Johnson. So I get it hasn't been anything resembling, you know, a top 20, even a top 30 back in the NFL just realized with this sort of usage, he's going to continue to be squarely on that, RB two borderline. And, you know, how about we use Duke to his talents.

5:35.0

He knows, okay, he's not even I can admit that Duke Johnson is not the running back. You want getting 10 to 15 carries the game right into the teeth of the defense. But what offense should be handing anyone 10 to 15 carries a game in the teeth of the defense unless we're talking about Derek Henry or Davin Cook.

5:49.0

So it was good to see the Texans get Duke more involved as a receiver. That's the best part of his game. He had four targets caught three of them, 43 yards and a score also drew a defensive pass in the parents penalty in the end on that set up.

6:00.0

Sejal procedure precise for short touchdown. So with Duke, I mean, had a nice one handed catch. Then he had again, I drew the DPI and then for the touchdown, 33 yards slug over Jamie Collins just cannot hang with him in open space.

6:13.0

So good to see Duke Johnson, you know, get going. This was against the lines, legal or defense and PPR points for game allowed him to position. So, you know, I get it might not be a week 13 thing particularly if David Johnson is able to come back from the concussion and either way, I mean, they're going to be matched up against Indianapolis Colts in week 13.

6:29.0

That's going to be a much tougher matchup. What this usage Duke is still going to be on that RB two radar, but as opposed to this matchup where you know we're facing the lowly lines and I was, you know, actively recommending people get Duke Johnson their lineup.

6:41.0

I think next week against the Colts going to be a little bit, you know, more understandable if we're not able to get him in there. So great performance by the Texans.
