The giving of thanks to God for his goodness and blessing should be a normal part of the life

of every child of God. As a matter of fact, Thanksgiving is not simply an event, a day on the

calendar, but should be a way of living and thinking.

In this series entitled, Thank the Lord, Scott Pauley will teach us through First Chronicle

16 on the importance of giving thanks on purpose. Our prayer is that your heart will be filled

with gratitude to the Lord for all he has done.

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul.

Thank you, Lord, for making me whole.

Thank you, Lord, for giving to me thy great salvation so rich and free.

We grew up singing that little chorus. If you know Jesus, you can sing it today. You can also give

thanks that I didn't sing it to you, but the reality is we ought to all be thankful for His

salvation. If you've got nothing else to rejoice in, rejoice that your name is written down

on the Lamb's Book of Life in heaven. We're picking up right where we left off yesterday.

Verse 23 of 1st Chronicles 16 says, sing unto the Lord, all the the earth show forth from day to day his salvation

are you glad to be saved are you thankful that the Lord has saved you well I want to bring you to a

thought today a truth that I think is much neglected when we speak of thanksgiving we think of

thanksgiving as a meal together perhaps a service at the church,

maybe a moment in private where we give God praise for his goodness in our lives.

But today, I'd like to show you the connection between Thanksgiving and witnessing.

You're giving thanks for God's goodness and your Christian witness.

Notice we are to show forth from day to day His salvation.
