This is Rumblestrip by Marika Heilman, and that is the sound of the dump on Forrest's new truck going up and down.

He put a brand new pump and a motor and everything on that horse. That's brand new.

Last week, thanks to all of you, Forrest became the owner of a new, old Ford F-350-ton truck with a dump bed.

It cost $15,425, which left about $1,000 to cover insurance, title, registration, and all of that, and other things for this winter for him and maybe enough after all of that

for him to take me and Steve and Rob out for pizza in Hardwick. Since Forrest sold the cows,

he and Tyke have been working for Washington Electric, clearing brush under the power lines.

I went up last Saturday to go for a drive with Forrest in the new truck,

and here's a little bit from that ride.

I don't know. I think it's pretty classy.

No, and new tires on it.

Yeah, he went through a good thing. In the bottom of that, the paper he'd done,

he took it into the state of New Hampshire and the emissions and the smog control and everything

on August 23rd passed the inspection and it's, he unhitched the wiring right here he bought a brand new

highness for every tail light and directional and backup and the whole works is all

brand new wiring no jiggling or nothing apart in it so yeah he put quite a lot

of money so you're a legal man now. Everything's above board.

How long has it been since that's been the case?

It's five years.

That truck wouldn't pass inspection five years ago.

I called the motor vehicle department.

I got an agricultural release.
