teres payler tribute podcast that we are going to be doing today.

Normally, you would be hearing teres right now with his infectious voice.

The person you've come to know so well as part of your family, your podcasting family, our podcasting family,

Teres and I often talked about how our listeners were our family and that continues to be the case.

Now, we've lost a significant member of our family in teres payler.

And we wanted to get together today to have a tribute podcast in his honor.

I'm here with our producer, Brett Raider, our national columnist, Dan Wetzel, and our NFL editor, Al Toby,

who, Teres and I referenced many times and did many impressions of over the last few years.

But what's important today is we really wanted to take a moment out and talk about the loss that we suffered on February 9th

when Teres unexpectedly passed away just hours after shooting our final podcast on February 8th.

And I think what's really important here is we're going to have the ability to share some stories, talk about what Teres meant to us at Yahoo Sports,

the part of our lives that he filled up over the last several years.

I think I've seen so many people on Twitter who have reached out and said, you know, even though maybe they didn't know Teres personally,

they have felt the loss themselves.

I think that's something that's felt in the NFL world.
