Roman 16, 17 to 23.

I appeal to you brothers to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles

contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught, avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own

appetites and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is

known to all so that I rejoice over you but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.

For the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Let's pray.

Lord, my great longing for us in this service is that we might better grasp

the inspiration and authority and preciousness of the preciousness of the Bible and that we might embrace it and that we might live under it

every part of our lives coming under its scrutiny and transformation. And I pray that there would be a great love affair between your people at Bethlehem and the word of God.

Under yourself, the gift of your son nothing is more precious than your word.

And I pray that those who consider it or feel it to be a marginal thing, a small thing will be changed.

I ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
