Kip Averett is a former chair of the Texas Clean Energy Coalition. He was a Republican state legislator in Texas for nearly 20 years.

Stephanie Smith grew up and was educated in Texas, where she worked as a lawyer on energy deals. She's now C.O. of Greencastle, a startup company that develops clean energy and other projects.

When George W. Bush was governor of Texas, he appointed Pat Wood to chair the state's public utility commission.
