Republicans are trying to drown America in religion.

To say the very least, it actually was defeated in Texas, which is kind of good news,

there was this effort to put the Ten Commandments in every school classroom.

At the same time, these Republicans are all hysterical about children reading about gay people

or anything having to do with sex.

They wanted a plaster, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife in every classroom

and letters large enough to be read from anywhere in the classroom.

Fortunately, I didn't pass, but these so-called religious freedom bills and these

direct insertions of religion into our schools are way beyond the pale of what the founders of

this country had in mind and frankly of what the Constitution and our laws say, prayers in school,

displays of religious text, even the worst of this stuff is like in Arizona now and I believe in

Florida as well. I don't know if they've started yet, but it's passed the legislature.

You can get money from the state to send your children to a religious school.

How is this even appropriate, much less legal? In my opinion, it's unconstitutional.
