journalism reporting specifically in Texas. We're going to dive into all things Texas politics.

We're going to talk about different races, runoffs, and so on. So this is the Danielle Gill Show.

I am delighted to welcome our guest today, Tony Ortiz. He is the publisher for Kurt Merolt,

a Texas news outlet that focuses on politics and is dedicated to delivering fact-based news.

It is a very spicy outlet, sometimes has some really great independent journalism. So Tony,

thanks so much for joining us. Thanks for having me. Yeah, well,

I thought we could start by talking about the Tala Rico Jasmine Crockett race. Of course, we saw

that Tala RICO beat Crockett. And then I think that was kind of what people were predicting

or thinking what happened because I think the idea of Jasmine Crockett potentially thinking she can win in Texas, I think it's just

crazy and out there. But obviously, you know, she actually came decently close to Tala Rico and the

end numbers. Looking at, I guess, the Democrat side, the Democrat perspective, what do you think they drew from that

race? Because Jasmine Crockett then afterwards was with Colin Allred, kind of acting like,

oh, you know, there were election interference. It was stolen for me and so on, because I think

they had some shady kind of things going on where they kept the Democrat polls open later.
