season with Longhorns. It is his 21st season overall as a head coach. He has made 14 trips

to the NCAA tournament reaching the Sweet 16 nine times, the elite eight four times. Texas is 21 and 14. They are the 11 scene in the West region. They have beaten NC State. They beat BYU. They beat Kinsaga. And now they take on number two, Purdue, in the Sweet 16 in San Jose. We are joined right now by Sean Miller. Sean, always awesome to have you on the show. Thanks for making time.

And Sean, how are you feeling 24 hours away from your matchup with the boilermakers?

Well, thanks, Jim.

It's obviously great to be on with you anytime.

We have a big challenge ahead of us.

You know, I think Purdue's experience, not only in the tournament, but these guys playing alongside each other for three or four years.

You know, the back court of Smith and Lawyer might be the best back court in the country.

And for us, you know, it's so much about we have to play at the top of our game.

As you well know, the best team doesn't always win in this tournament. It's the team

who plays the best on that day that has the advantage. And for us, we just have to keep going.

It's a great point. Sean Miller joining us. It's a great point. And to that point, Sean,

does your best beat their best? I would say our best and maybe a little bit less than their best,

I think it can happen, you know, and we're all hopeful. But you've seen it so many times,

Jim, over the years, where a player on a particular team, he just, he reaches new heights.

He plays out of his mind. He goes to, has one of those games that become legendary, and because of that,

his team advances. And then on the other side of it, there's times when the heavy favorite,

a group of guys, a team that's been great all season long, for whatever reason, they just

didn't have it on that particular afternoon. And, you know, that's the difference in March Madness

than, you know, a seven-game NBA playoff series. So, you know, for us, the reason we've advanced is we've played our best, especially on the defensive end. And we have to keep doing it here tomorrow against the great Purdue team. We're talking to Sean Miller. Sean, you know, you mentioned that it's not a best of seven. So anything can happen in these games. Obviously, it so often comes down to matchups. It comes down to matchups. How do you like the matchup? How do you feel like you match up with Purdue? Well, they're incredibly efficient gym on offense. Matter of fact, they're America or college basketball's number one team when it comes to just their offensive efficiency.
