The first story driving the conversation today in Washington is out of Texas. Dasha,

did you ever watch the television show based on the movie, based on the book, Friday Night Lights?

They say in that show, Texas Forever, and it feels like we've been talking about Texas forever.

Feels like people have been wondering what Donald Trump is going to do about Texas forever.

We've got a few nuggets to report out here.

And the first one is this is all connected and tied to CPAC,

which is happening in Grapevine, Texas today. And there are a couple of key people who are

going to be there and a couple of key people who are not going to be there. Donald Trump,

not going to be there. That's unusual for him. Senator John Cornyn, not going to be there. But who will be

there and who's giving a big speech tonight is Attorney General Ken Paxton. And you talked to Mercedes-Schlapp,
