All right, Brian, to wrap up today's show today, we are going to start talking about Texas A&M's defense.

And at times last season, this was a little bit of a kryptonite to this team.

We know how many points they gave up against Auburn.

They gave up 35 against USC in a bowl game.

They did not look good against South Carolina, which is a little bit surprising,

considering who their head coach is, a very defensive-minded player.

And it's something that you did not see coming.

Oh, bull.

I said it all last off-season. This is the biggest mistake that Mike Elko made was hiring Jay Bateman as his defensive coordinator. That's why. You don't expect it from a Mike Elko defense. But the minute he hired Jay Bateman, I did. Now, I was alone in that. Well, I wasn't alone, but I was in the minority in

that because there's still a lot of people that think Jay Bateman's good or a lot of people just

thought, and I'm, let me, maybe this is where you come from, Trap. Look, Mike Elko's the head coach.

So a lot of people say by Marker's dream, Mike Elko's head coach. Defense is going to be fine. The problem in year one, however, is Mike Elko had to establish

himself as the head coach. First and foremost. So he couldn't work with the defense as much.

And that's why I think this year might be a little bit different. Trev. And I know you had you had

read something about that also that is going to make it very interesting. But I honestly was not

surprised at their defense struggle last year because of who he

hired as a defensive coordinator.
