You survived last week, but will you survive this week? It's a slow, this is a slow burn,

horror murder podcast. We spent a lot of time introducing these characters. We've been around for years now introducing

ourselves as characters, but we all die by the end of this episode. Spoiler.

So speaking of last week's episode, we talked about the Texas chainsaw Massacre, Toby Hooper's

1974 Shocker, about a massacre in Texas with a chainsaw. This week, we're turning our attention

to X, a Thai West horror film,

very much inspired by Texas Chasol Massacre and with its killer alligator, also inspired

by Hooper's next film, the lesser known Eaton Alive, which also co-stars Marilyn Burns.

X is set as the 1970s are threatening to turn into the 1980s, its protagonists, a five-sum intent on making

a pornographic movie called The Farmer's Daughters, are breathing the last gasps of porno-sheek

before home video and a tide of cultural and religious conservatism would end it.

They've chosen the wrong place to shoot, too, thanks to the elderly owners of the property

they've read it, both of whom take an

intense interest in what they're up to, an interest tied to the couple's own sexual urges
