Summary

Charles moved all over the country, always struggling with sex and drug addiction. Attempts at rehab and self-healing always led to another relapse. In the midst of all depravity, God never stopped pursuing Charles. He got sober once and for all once he fully surrendered his life to Christ. 0:00.0	Hey, my name is Charles Rocker. I am 30 years old. I am from Collins, Missouri, and this is my testimony about how Jesus Christ saved my life. The

0:56.8	So if I want to run for politics or whatever, it's going to be all out there. So here we go.
1:03.4	Yeah, so I was born in Illinois. I grew up in Texas for 10 years. I moved back to Illinois when I was 12.
1:10.2	Went to college in Iowa for four years,
1:12.6	which I usually tell people, is just Illinois with a better government. So you still got,
1:17.3	you know, the agriculture and the small town feel. It's just better roads, better government,
1:24.3	blah, blah, blah. So after college, my parents, my dad got a job in Arizona,
1:30.8	so then I followed them to Arizona when I graduated, just UPSed all my stuff out there,
1:35.6	did five years in Arizona, and three summers in California playing professional baseball.
1:42.6	We made about $46 and 50 cents a week while we were
1:46.6	playing there if we ever got paid. There was times we didn't get paid. And then we moved
1:52.8	to Pennsylvania, followed my parents out there again, and then finally settled in Missouri.
1:59.0	And we planned on being in Missouri for a while with me and my fiance.
2:02.5	So just kind of like a baseline of how much I bounced around and just kind of like the diverse
2:08.4	upbringing that I had, living in all these different places.
2:12.5	But really the story starts for me when I was five or six years old, I was sexually assaulted by somebody
2:20.3	who I looked up to as an older brother. And that was really tough, obviously. Like,
2:27.3	I looked up to this guy, thought very highly of him, wanted to be like him, we played video
2:31.3	games and stuff, and then the sleepover turns into something
2:36.2	more than just a sleepover. And I got to a point where I was able to say no and tell him to stop.
2:43.8	But yeah, it was, life was just weird after that. I became very aware of myself and my body at a very young age and I never told anybody until I was
