Hey everybody Rob, now we're here and today we're going to be talking about Tesla moving

to their Tesla vision approach for autonomy.

Tesla has announced that they're going to be removing radar hardware from vehicles like

we had speculated about on Monday's episode, so they've made this official, we'll talk

about the details there.

Then we've also got some news on Gigaburlin and an interesting update on Powerwall production.

Another strong day for Tesla stock today, finishing up 2.4% to $619.13.

That compared to the NASDAQ also up on the day, 0.6%.

Alright, so following the removal of any mention of radar on Tesla's website earlier this

week, Tesla has now explained where they're at in terms of removing the radar hardware via

a Tesla support page update.

The update here is called Transitioning to Tesla Vision, Tesla writes quote, we are continuing

the transition to Tesla Vision our camera based autopilot system, beginning with deliveries

in May 2021, Model 3 and Model Y vehicles built for the North American market will no

longer be equipped with radar.

Instead, these will be the first Tesla vehicles to rely on camera vision and neural net processing

to deliver autopilot, full self-driving and certain active safety features.

Customers who ordered before May 2021 and are matched with the car with Tesla Vision

will be notified of the change through their Tesla accounts prior to delivery.

Tesla also notes here that for a short period of time while they're transitioning, cars

with out-radars may have some limits on auto steer, they say maximum speed of 75 miles
