A chess playing robot accidentally broke the finger of its seven-year-old opponent during exhibition match in Moscow.

Okay, that's going to get your attention, right?

Here's what happened.

The child apparently moved his piece too soon.

And the robot looked down and went, whoa, that's not going to happen.

Grab the kid's finger and fractured the boy's finger.

You should see the video of the robot holding onto the kid's finger until several people were like,

oh no, we've got to get this robot on this kid.

I'm surprised no one thought to take the robot's batteries out.

Anyway, Russian chess officials say that the robot is absolutely safe, okay, even though he

just like almost broke this kid's finger.

You know, I love chess.

I play chess at least a few times a week online.

And I actually made an Eastern European friend while playing chess online.

I guess you could call him my cheques mate.

Ha ha, yeah.
