You once managed a 12-piece reggae band.

I got them signed to Chrysalis back in 1985.

Our first record was a cover version of Delroy Wilson, Better Must Come,

but it was like a mishmash, so we used the Slengteng bass line, you know,

from Wayne Smith, under my slengteng.

We used a horn section from Marcy Griffith's feel like jumping,

and then it broke down into a dub of working in a coal mine

because it was the miners strike was on when we started doing it and that gets a big encore.

I don't know about you but I've never wished Stuart Cosgrover's here more and he would

I know what I know I know I mean I know Stuart because obviously we had mates in common with him

you know from the Northern Solcy so I'd always chat to him about that.

Because reading up on yourself before we started the show, you've had a life. Yeah, well, I mean, someone said, oh, you know, you've had your career. I always get, yeah, your career was a failure. And I go, well, I never had a career. I just have a series of jobs. Yeah, because... But you look great as well.

I think he's using that Nirvana cream.
