This happened to me about five years ago, I think.

Some details are a bit fuzzy, but I'm sharing this exactly how I remember it.

So when I was in high school, I was best friends with this girl called Sarah.

Sarah and I were practically inseparable, and Sarah was what you would consider the cool

girl.

She was charismatic, spontaneous, rebellious, confident, and incredibly beautiful, and

she was also somewhat of a bad influence.

But don't get me wrong, she never pressured me into doing anything that I wasn't comfortable

with, i.e. drinking, smoking, older boys and all that sort of stuff.

But she did bring me into some questionable situations to see the least.

But I truly loved her and cherished our friendship, as she was the sister that I really never

had, and I'm the oldest child and the only girl born to Eastern European immigrants.

So naturally, I grew up in a very strict and controlling household.

I realized my parents were only like this to try and protect me, but we're feeling so

caged, and only made me want to venture out more, really.
