This week, we're looking at three popular stories dealing with Japanese spirits of all sorts.

Are they kami? Are they regular old Yule? Are they something else entirely?

Our first story is about a man who often drives through the mountains to visit his aunt in Kyoto.

On the way back one night, he finds

himself being tailed by something that, well, shouldn't be. Find out what in Kameoka Ridge.

This happened when my aunt used to live in Kirtamba. She was my mother's older sister, and because she didn't have any children of her own,

she always doted on me.

I figured I had to return the favour, seeing as we were family, so I always diligently

visited her.

This was mostly whenever I had something to give her, if she was sick, or if I had to

do something out that way anyway.

Sometimes my mother also came along, but she worked and our times didn't always match, so

the majority of the time I went by myself.
