Most filmmakers hide for a while after a bomb, but not Terminator Dark Fate director Tim Miller.

Following his movie's very disappointing opening, I asked him whether he thought he would ever work with producer James Cameron again.

No, but it has nothing to do with whatever trauma I have from the experience.

It's more that I just don't want to be in a situation again where I don't have the control

to do what I think is right.

Miller tries to figure why audiences were not saying I would be back for another Terminator

movie, and he walks us through his career post-Deadpool,

from departing Deadpool 2 before it started shooting,

to seizing what seemed like the opportunity of a lifetime,

directing a Terminator movie with Cameron producing.

Hi there. So what we are seeing right now is the hazard of doing films based on real life. And this has come up many times

in the past. I don't know why in certain cases, sometimes people take liberties, sometimes people

don't check properly. We're seeing both of those in two different films right now, the first one

being this Clint Eastwood movie, Richard Jewell, which just played for the Academy very successfully.
