Summary
Ruby has a problem.
A BIG one.
Tentacles-in-the-deep-end big.
Because there is obviously a Kraken living at the bottom of the pool. Obviously.
So while other kids are happily splashing around, Ruby is staying exactly where she is thank you very much: the safe end. The definitely-no-sea-monsters end.
But Hat has a different idea.
Suddenly the pool becomes a wild ocean and one extremely dramatic imaginary Kraken. And somewhere between the shallow end and the deep end, Ruby discovers something sneaky about bravery: you do not have to leap. Sometimes brave looks like going slow.
