The 20-year-old tennis player looked more like a rock star than a high-level athlete as he stepped

onto the blue hard court at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

His scruffy black beard contrasted sharply with his bleach blonde

shoulder-length hair, which no one knew at the time was a wig. The long flowing mullet was

adorned with a lime green and white headband that matched the lime green tites he wore under a pair of

black shorts. Not the typical outfit for the sport of kings.

But this wasn't a typical tennis player.

This was Andre Agassi, a style rebel with an on-court attitude to match.
