Chase Thomas podcast. The Chase Thomas podcast, my nephew needs me to record. See, I hate, I already hate it. I hate it.

All right. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of the Ball's Hoops Hour here on the Chase Thomas podcast, where I'm joined by VallReport.com's Ryan Sylvia. Ryan, good afternoon, sir. How are you?

0:21.4

I'm doing good. We got football down the stretch, but basketball season's heating up. So it's kind of that fun overlap time. Fun depending on who you ask right now, Ryan. There's two men on this very call who cover both. I don't, I don't, I don't want to complain. it's a fun thing to do, but it's one of those where I'm like, ooh, 9.30 tonight, late tip here on the CBS Sports Network, which I don't know how that happened, but I don't have that. So I'm still like trying to figure out what I'm going to do in that regard, but I don't know why all these games are on the CBS Sports Network. so I feel like a boomer right now complaining about there's just so many channels. There's so many channels. I just want to find the game. That's how I feel this afternoon, Ryan. Yeah, I will say though, I will much rather take this time of the year where there's just so much to do you can't get to everything than like that month, two month period right after baseball season ends where it's like, you're getting

1:11.1

geared up for football seasons. There's still football stuff to do. But like on a day to day basis, it's like, oh my God, like something happened. Let someone commit. Like I need something to happen. So I'll take, I'll take this busy time instead. It feels like forever ago, right? Like that time before it like the season just I don't know it's just it's weird we're here two two weeks left

1:30.3

I mean less than two weeks left the radio It feels like forever ago, right? Like that time before it. Like the season just, I don't know.

1:27.7

It's just, it's weird. We're here two weeks left. I mean, less than two weeks left, the regular season for college football. We always talk about it. It's like it feels like it takes forever to get here. And then it, it's just gone in an instance. The opposite feel for, I think, hoops and baseball, especially baseball now that Tennessee's good. baseballball, you get your time. You get your money's worth with the baseball season. I mean, give it two or three months, and all of a sudden, literal baseball season is here. But I think that does help with that bridge. It's like, all right, well, Tennessee is going to Omaha every year. Like, you don't have too much time between baseball and football now compared to

2:01.3

before when that season was over, like April or whenever the regular season.

2:05.5

And so it's a lot of, it does carry a lot more time, especially when they're making

2:10.1

championship runs.

2:11.0

That makes it a little more entertaining, too.

2:13.1

And I don't think that is going to slow down anytime soon here, Ryan Sylvia with Tony Vitello in full swing.

2:20.4

But we are going to talk some balls hoops here, men's and women's hoops here, Ryan.

2:26.3

And I want to start, though, on the men's side, balls for no start.

2:29.3

We're taping this a couple hours before.

2:31.5

They play Virginia tonight in the Bahamas,

2:34.9

and we'll see how that ultimately unfolds this weekend for the balls.

2:38.2

But before we get into that, what have been your biggest takeaways

2:41.4

through four games here for the men's team?

2:44.6

And is there a biggest looming potential problem for this men's team through four games?

2:51.2

I think my two biggest takeaways kind of compliment but also not compliment each other

2:56.3

at the same time where one, I think that we've seen that Chasas in the year can be a really

3:00.2

good score and he can't have those nights where he goes for 20 plus and he does, he carries
