I'm actually in southeastern Oklahoma,

Hugo, Oklahoma, right in the border of Oklahoma

in Texas.

I moved back, my wife and I moved back from Nashville about four years ago.

So we've been out here enjoying the country living.

How did the name Tennessee jet come about then?

I was, so I started playing, there was a one man band, I guess about six years ago, and when I started doing that I wanted to separate it from what I was doing before which

is like a lot of people playing in different bands and doing a solo but solo acoustic shows and I didn't want people to come out and request songs that I'd done with other bands I just kind of wanted to turn the page on that and so I wanted to come up with something that would kind of separate me from the art.

Because I think these days a lot of times the people get so hung up on the person making the art as opposed to actually like listening to what the art is telling them.

And so I kind of dig the idea of having a moniker and so I was living in Tennessee at the time and so took that as the first part and there's this movie called Giant

It's just an old James Dean and Rock Hudson Elizabeth Taylor this old movie

It's old Western that takes place in Texas.

And so I took the jet from the,

from James Dean's character in that,

and then the, and put them together as kind of a there's a lot of reasons.

Tennessee I see is a very kind of old classic sounding country name and then jet

being like moving forward and fast and and metal and so it was all kind of like it kind of made sense to have a name like that.

Plus there's a it's always good that you have a name that a that you don't have to
