So talk about a little bit about what you know about crime in this city.

So crime is like very much in the bones of New Orleans.

It's a big part of it.

Back early 1800, so like this whole area here, we didn't used to have the levee, like the wall that

separates the river in, the ships are coming right up to dock right here. So everybody on that next street on Decatur Street

is catering towards the sailors who are coming in.

So first thing that guys want after they get back out from sea

is they want a woman and they want a drink.

So they're all dance halls.

And these are known for being like terribly seedy places.

Like there's so much robbery, so much clomidia,

so much murder running up and down the streets
