Summary

This week on the podcast, it's The Earful's two new interns Thomas Farnham and Genevieve Victoria Gorain. They share their bucket lists for Paris for their two-month stay in Paris.

I found it quite interesting to hear the perspectives of American university students on the City of Light, not least because my typical guests are a bit older.

We'll check back in on them in a couple months to see how they fared.

Also mentioned in this episode:

  • The Earful Everywhere podcast (currently in Italy): https://theearfultower.substack.com/p/its-here-the-official-launch-of-the
  • Our walking tours of Paris: http://www.theearfultower.com/tours

Music by Pres Maxson.

Hello, everybody. This is the Yearful Tower podcast. My name is Oliver G. And today we're going to be, wow, I think we're going to be turning back the clocks for all of us to when we were fresh-faced 18 and 20-year-olds and thereabouts outseeing the world. There's energy on this show because I've got my two new interns. I've got

0:22.2

Genevieve, Victoria Garan and Thomas Farnham sharing their kind of bucket list, the things that

0:28.3

they want to do, the five things they want to do during an internship in Paris. So I think it'll be

0:35.6

interesting for everybody. I kind of probe them on what they sort of,

0:40.3

not in a testing way, but what they know about Paris and the things they've chosen coming here

0:45.1

as a university-aged human being. So we're going to be getting through their bucket list.

0:49.4

And then, of course, I'll be sending them out across Paris to tick these things off and report back.

0:55.0

A few bits of housekeeping first, even though Genevieve Victoria Garan's name is that, we call her Victoria on this internship at her own request.

1:06.7

So I'll be referring to her as Victoria.

1:09.9

And otherwise, a few other things pop up.

1:13.6

And if you think about scrambling around for a pen to write it down,

1:16.4

don't worry, they'll be in the show notes and also in the substack newsletter that I send out,

1:23.2

usually every Monday and every Friday.

1:25.9

This episode is brought to you by myself.

1:29.3

I'm bringing it to you from the Earful Tower.

1:31.1

What I mean by that is there's no sponsors here.

1:33.3

Instead, I'm going to encourage you to either book one of our famous walking tours.

1:37.5

Check those reviews out on TripAdvisor.

1:39.9

We do Monmart, Latin Quarter, and the Marais.

1:44.0

In fact, we do other things too, if you just ask.

1:46.9
