Let's get started with a follow-up story from last week. We reported on the widespread wildfires in Canada, which burned so far and so fast that

the smoke blanketed parts of the U.S.

Last week, cities on the East Coast, including Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C., faced their worst

air quality in decades. Air pollution levels were nearly double the worst wildfire smoke
