0:11.0	And I'm Patrick Miller. I want to welcome everyone to our inaugural episode. It's our very first take on 10 minute Bible talks. We wanted to do this episode just to tell you a little bit about what you can expect in
0:24.2	this podcast and about what we're going to be doing next. So let's start there.
0:29.2	What can people expect from this podcast? Okay let's be honest for a second we've been wanting to do a podcast for a really long time and it has
0:35.9	proven more of a challenge than we expected but we've got our act together now and we
0:40.4	think we are ready to give this a shot.
0:43.0	We'll be interested in your feedback
0:45.0	as you tell us what works and what doesn't,
0:47.0	what might be more helpful, or even less helpful.
0:50.0	All that feedback really helps.
0:52.0	So 10 minute Bible Talks, what we're hoping to do is
0:54.4	encourage you and your faith. I mean part of it is as simple as saying that
0:58.2	that we need touch points through our week that help us reorient our life around the things of God.
1:05.0	And it's easy to get busy and distracted and hard to read our Bible on our own
1:10.0	and so just having some resources in our life that help us reorient our life around
1:14.4	Christ and the gospel seems like a good thing.
1:17.0	You know when I became a Christian when I was 19 obviously one of my first questions
1:21.4	was what's next what do I do where am I supposed to be going and
1:25.2	Some of the best advice that I got was from a mentor who said well you're Christian now
1:30.9	You've got to start reading your Bible. You need to spend time
1:33.2	thinking about your Bible, devoting time to your Bible, and I didn't know any better so I did it.
